He received his Ph.D. in “Business Engineering” at the University of “Roma-Tor Vergata” (Rome, Italy). He teaches Marketing, Management and E-business models at the College of Engineering. His current main research interest is on data mining models for customer modeling and profiling, particularly in the use of context to improve customer modeling and business performance. His interests in this area includes research on contextual segmentation, the analysis of misclassification costs, cost-benefit analysis of personalized actions to increase customers' value, and the development of contextual recommeder systems (which is the latest research area.) He has previously done research on creativity support systems, knowledge management, and neural networks and fuzzy logic systems to support decision making processes.
