Vito Albino is currently a Professor at the Politecnico di Bari. His research fields are related to industrial clusters and virtual value chain. He is the author of more than one hundred papers published on refereed journals and books. Prof. Albino has been visiting scholar and professor for different national and international universities and is responsible of international research agreements between Politecnico di Bari and Syracuse University (NY, USA), and University of South Florida (FL, USA). He has been responsible for many research projects getting grants from both public institutions and companies. He is the co-founder of the Knowledge Management Lab at the Politecnico di Bari. He has been also member of the Scientific Committee of the Science Park “Tecnopolis-Csata” in Bari, and of the Board of the Italian Association of Business Engineering (AiIG). At the present, he is the Head of the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica e Gestionale at the Politecnico di Bari and he is responsible of the program “Logistics and production organization” of the Scuola Interpolitecnica di Dottorato (the joint PhD program of Politecnico di Bari, Politecnico di Milano, and Politecnico di Torino).
